Welcome to the Pancake Fundraiser Social Distant Style! For the Facebook Event, click here.

Are you fortunate enough to have a home to live in, a place to cook, and food in the pantry? Not everyone right now is. Traditionally, groups raise money for those less fortunate by using Pancake Breakfasts as fundraising events. But in these times there are many people in urgent need of assistance, and no way to gather together in order to help them using traditional tools.

So, we welcome you to the new Pancake Fundraiser, Social Distant Style to help organize us all in a show of caring and support when it is needed the most, and the most difficult to do so.

The fun: Cook your own pancake breakfast on Saturday May 30th, decorate them as smiley faces, animals, or other fun and silly things. Then share your pictures and videos of them in your favorite social circles and see what others are doing to take part. (Note: Waffles and French Toast are acceptable as well. Any breakfast foods at all!) Make sure you use the hashtags #PancakeFundraiser #SocialDistantStylePancakes #PancakeStrong

The help: When you’re done with your pancakes (or french toast, waffles, or omelettes), make a $10 donation to a local food bank or pantry.

One of the most important ways to support local communities is to ensure the Food Banks and Pantries are stocked and have the resources to assist as many as possible, and in the months ahead this will become a critical need for millions of people.

Visit PancakeFundraiserSocialDistantStyle.Org for information on how to locate your local Food Banks and Pantries, or how you can get involved in your own community.

Keep in mind that if you can’t afford to make a donation, please still take part in the festivities! The most important thing right now is that everyone makes it through this as well as they possibly can. For some that means generosity of spirit. Keeping hopes high is vital, and if you have the capacity to participate in the pictures and video but can’t afford to contribute, that’s fine! Take part! We’re all in this together, and having fun and encouraging others are more important than a lot of people realize.

So start planning your menu, share this Event, and get ready on Saturday, May 30th, to have a great tasting (hopefully!) Pancake Fundraiser Social Distant Style with us!
